HND Hosting is a service of Hooknot Digital, run by Rohin Grover in India. This page explains what we keep about you when you use hndhosting.com and the client area at my.hndhosting.com, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we keep
- Your account: your name, email address, company name, billing address and any tax number you give us, and the people you allow to sign in for your company.
- Your services and billing: the servers we run for you, invoices, and payments. When you pay by PayPal, PayPal sends us the payment's reference, amount and date. We never see your card or bank details.
- Support: the requests you send us and any files you attach.
- Security records: when you sign in or change your account, we record when it happened, your IP address and your browser, so we can spot sign-ins that are not yours. We remove the IP address and browser after 90 days, and the record itself after a year.
We keep only what we need to run your servers, bill for them and support you. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Signing in with Google
If you choose Sign in with Google, Google tells us your email address and whether Google has verified it. We use that only to find the client area login that already uses that address. We do not create accounts from Google, we do not receive your contacts, files or calendar, and we do not keep Google's sign-in token. Two-step sign-in, if you have turned it on, still asks for your code.
Who helps us run the service
- Contabo provides the servers the client area and your sites run on.
- Cloudflare sits in front of our websites to keep them fast and to block attacks. It may set a cookie to tell people from bots.
- PayPal takes payments.
- Brevo sends our emails, such as invoices and password links.
- Google Drive stores our backups. They are encrypted before they leave our servers, so Google cannot read them.
Cookies
The client area uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in and to protect its forms. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Your account and support history stay while you are a client. Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires. Backups are encrypted, and older copies are deleted on a rolling schedule.
What you can ask us
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, apart from records the law requires us to keep. Email [email protected] from the address on your account and we will reply within 30 days.
Changes
If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and its date. For a change that affects you, we will also email you.
